How do I switch SIM only deal and keep my number?
1. Choose your new SIM Only deal
Compare the best SIM Only plans from top UK mobile networks. Once you find a deal that fits your needs, click through to the provider’s website to place your order.
2. Get your PAC code to keep your number
Want to keep your existing mobile number when switching networks? Text PAC to 65075 to get your code instantly — it’s quick, free, and works on all major UK networks.
3. Transfer your number to your new SIM Only plan
After signing up for your new SIM Only deal, give your PAC code to your new network. This will begin the number transfer process and automatically cancel your old contract. In most cases, you can enter your PAC code during checkout when switching SIM Only deals online.
Why is my SIM Only contract price increasing?
SIM Only plans often go up in price once a year — usually around March or April. These mid-contract price hikes used to follow the Consumer Price Index (CPI), but Ofcom now requires mobile networks to clearly state any increases in pounds and pence in your contract.
Not happy with the change?
Check when your current contract ends and set a reminder to switch. If you’re unsure about your status, text ‘INFO’ to 85075 — this free service will tell you whether you’re still in contract and if you can switch providers without paying an early exit fee.
